Q: I take Tylenol instead of ibuprofen with my BP meds but have felt drowsy all day. Why? Is Aleve ok to take instead?
A: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as Aleve are known to raise blood pressure so they may not be a good class of drug for you to take. Sleepiness is not usually a side effect of Tylenol but any drug can cause anything in a given individual. You should talk to your doctor about your need to take Tylenol on a regular basis. Perhaps your drowsiness is related to another problem.
