Q: I just read about the effects of NSAIDS on BP medications. I am on Atacand 8 mg and I take one Aleve a day for joint pains. When I try to go to Tylenol or ASA I very soon begin to have a great deal of pain. I have not noticed much change in my BP being on Aleve. What do you think?
A: People with high blood pressure can take medications like Aleve as long as their blood pressure stays in control. To be safe, you should discuss your daily use of Aleve with your doctor.
