Has anyone experienced numbness, tingling, icy cold sensations in feet (sometimes hands) from BP meds? I developed these symptoms some months ago (Been taking TOPROL LX for many years w/o these symptoms. Could there be build up?)and was tested for other things it could be and tests came out negative. They just shrug and say ‘peripherial nueropathy’ which I think is a basket term for inflammation of nerves and ‘we don’t know the cause’ Some BP meds show this as possible side effects. Toprol is a Beta blocker (others show this as possible side effect too) and I once tried to get off them and it was an arythmic, pounding nightmare. I need them cause it slows down my fast heart rate and lowers BP. Any help? Thanks!

I have been on Vytorin for three years now and also Diovan for 6 months.

I have developed a tingling first in my lower legs and now it pops up in my stomach sometimes and on my back, and then sometimes on my arms, thighs.

I don’t know if it these BP Medications or not.

I have gone to a neurologist who gave me a complete nerve test all came out negative.

All of my blood tests have been normal, and I had MRI’s done on my lower extremities and back, spine and all came out ok.

I am baffled and so are the doctors. I was also on Cymbalta and welbutrin for two and one half years and suddenly I took myself off of both completely one day, because I felt good and I think they were making me gain weight. I did this without weaning myself slowly off of them.

I wonder if this could be the result of thst happening?

Any one have an opinion or suggestion. I am going to see my doctor next Thursday and see if he thinks it could be the Vytorin?

How’s it going? A congregation of indie developers are selling a package of their games which includes some of the biggest self-assured games on the market. Gamers can repute their own assay—from 1c to ,000—on a give out of games that would come across for far if sold separately. Anyone who buys the package can be alert of swap identical’s memory almost themselves as expertly; customers can send any amount of their purchases to two urgent nonprofit groups.

I don’t have a reply specifically about your question but in general I have the impression that those scientists who write about the deplorable compliance rate for blood pressure control have never tried these drugs. I am relatively new to all this, but on a calcium channel blocker, I can say with all seriousness that the quality of life on this drug was not worth it. If it had been my only choice of medications, I would have gone off it and taken all the risks – it is the only time I have been seriously depressed is while on this med. There really was no choice. I know other don’t have that reaction to it.
Fortunately, I’m on a diuretic which is holding my numbers in place and I don’t have such an aweful physical reaction to it – and I’m doing the rest with getting a few pounds off and exercise. this is going to be my new mantra when I hear surprise at the high numbers of patients with uncontrolled blood pressure.
