Q: The lower my heart rate the higher my blood pressure, why?
A: Usually when your heart beats faster, your blood pressure also increases. You are describing the opposite effect. This could be related to drugs you are taking, including recreational drugs and herbal or natural products. This could be caused by an undiagnosed medical problem such as thyroid disease. Make an appointment to see your doctor for an evaluation.

I wondered why this is sometimes the case with my BP, although my BP is usually < 140/90.
Blood tests showed thyroid hormones 'essentially normal'. One doc thinks I am borderline hypothyroid.
So think may be worthwhile following Dr Rowena's advice and have it checked out.
i have 140/90 sometime normal 130/80 dr gave me etenelol 5 mg i feels dizzy and weak so she said skip medicines . i am not taking any bp medicines what can i do.
