Weight Loss and Exercise can Lower Your Blood Pressure

(MedSurfer.com) — Excessive weight, abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking and diabetes are all risk factors of cardiovascular disease. These all can increase your risk for heart attacks. Lowering even one of them can lower that risk. A recent study (ENCORE) explored the effect of excessive weight and physical activity on blood pressure. In this, all the patients were prescribed DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet. One group was prescribed calorie restricted diet and exercise also.
