Treating labile BP

Q:  My problem is that my BP is very labile. A week or so ago at work it was 190/100, yesterday at home it was 90/46. What is the best way to handle this? The doctor at work wants to put me on more meds, my PCP doesn’t want to do so.

A:  A blood pressure of 190/100 is worrisome.  Your blood pressure is not in good control.  You need to do something different to get your pressure into control.  You should talk to both of your doctors and ask them what action they feel is best for you and why.  A trial of the Resperate may be a good compromise.  It will help lower your pressure without having to add another medication.
