Small White Patches as a Side Effect.

Q: My wife is taking Almetic plus one tablet daily for the last 3 months. She has normal blood pressure with this medicine like 120/80. But for the last few days she observed white small patches all over her body. Do we say it a side effect of this medicine?

A: I assume you mean the drug olmetec or olemesartan (Benicar). A small percentage of people taking this medicine have reported a rash as a side effect. Your wife should discuss this further with her doctor.

i FEEL SAD THAT THE LADY WITH THE WHITE PATCHES ALL OVER HER BODY DID NOT RECEIVE A GOOD ANSWER…i HAVE HAD WHITE BLOTCHES ON MY LEGS AND ARMS EVER SINCE i HAD A BACTERIA IN MY STOMACH. CAN BE TREATED BY ANTIBIOTICS. AND CIDER APPLE VINEGAR TABLES FROM THE HEALTH FOOD SHOPS.iI cured my stomach problem with acidophilus capsules every day and apple cider vinegar.
