High blood pressure and breast growth in men.

Q: Does taking Lisinopril make a man’s breasts to grow? And if so what is the bad effect of this?

A: Lisinopril is a type of high blood pressure medicine known as an angiotension converting enzyme inhibitor or ACE inhibitor. Breast pain, not increased size, has been associated with Lisinopril use.   Breast growth in males can be caused by the use of the high blood pressure medicines known as calcium channel blockers.  Herbal and other supplements and use of street drugs also can cause breast growth.  The main concern from the increase of breast size is cosmetic.
