Q: I stopped taking my anti-depressant medication and my blood pressure is no normal. Is high blood pressure an anti-depressant side effect?

A: Yes, medicine used to treat depression can increase blood pressure.  Before prescribing any drug, a doctor must consider the benefits of the medicine against the risks associated with taking the drug.
